Based in the UK with a background in music and journalism Simon Danaher has a long history in the creative field and over 17 years experience working in CGI. An autodidact by nature Simon has had no formal training preferring to acquire and refine his visual style through experimentation and self-directed learning, assimilating interests as diverse as science, philosophy, mathematics and fine art into his craft. “There is as much beauty in an elegant equation as the prosaic beauty of a well-crafted image or musical score: the mechanics is the same and I’m always trying to replicate the indefinable qualities I appreciate in great aesthetic works in my own. Its difficult and I don’t really understand it but I enjoy the task.”
Simon’s work for a TIDE campaign with Saatchi & Saatchi NY was awarded the Grand Prix and Gold and Silver Lions at the 2007 Cannes Festival. He has also won an ADC NY award and in 2014 was honoured to be included in the ’30/30/30′ exhibition that celebrated the 30th Anniversary of Lürzer’s Archive. Simon has worked with leading agencies around the world and brands including Heineken, Pepsi, L’Oreal, Nespresso, Nestlé, Tide, H&M, SSE, VISA, Philip Morris, Orange, Samsung, Airbus, SNCF, Glenmorangie, Cheerios, Energizer, Toyota and BMW.
